BDO Law successfully represented Orange Group Baltic

13 December 2016

The Law firm successfully represented Orange Group Baltic against charges of the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia concerning unfair commercial practice and unlicensed provision of posting services. The Law firm drafted legal documentation and represented the Client at the Consumer Rights Protection Centre following which the case at the institution was closed at favourable conditions for the Orange Group Baltic.

The Law firm also successfully represented Orange Group Baltic in courts involving claims of former employees regarding the compensation and counter claims by the employers to reimburse education costs from employees who prematurely and unilaterally terminated employment relationships.

The legal issues concerning the interpretation of the Labour law of employer’s rights and responsibilities are quite the complicated due to the unsettled case-law and fact that up to date the courts have more often favoured the employees` positions based on sole argument that it is the weakest side of the employment relationships. The law firm has developed a new expense compensation strategy for Orange Group Baltic.
